Good Girl Radio is about the great, good, and not so good confessions, secrets, and conversations of life. It's about discovering the freedom in being honest. It's about confessing the truth to move to the best you. It's about knowing that every Good Girl has a confession.

Cameo King | Owner & Host

Within every living creature therein lies a purpose. As leader and a native Detroiter, Cameo King stands on that mantra. Her life’s goal is to help cultivate the seed of purpose that is planted in every individual.

Cameo’s passion began in one of the nation’s most diverse places at Howard University in Washington D.C. Cameo King is rooted in her inseparable commitment to grow local communities. She began her career in media as a reporter and anchor for Power 96.5 and 1320 WILS, and as a producer and assignment editor for the CBS affiliate, WLNS 6 News in Lansing, MI.

Cameo continued following her passion to help cultivate the hearts and minds of the people in education. She is continuing her collegiate career at Grand Rapids Theological Seminary where she is pursuing a Masters of Arts in Urban Ministry Leadership. But one her most significant accomplishments is combining her commitment to the community and media. The combination birthed Good Girl Radio.

Cameo knows none of this would be possible without her faith. She firmly believes that there are no limits in life. Cameo Lyn King knows that through hard work, strong ethics, and faith in God, the possibilities for her life are endless.


Yasmine Toney | Editor

Yasmine Toney is a licensed professional counselor and mother of one. Yasmine is a native Detroiter who currently resides in Metro Detroit. Yasmine earned her Masters in Counseling from Spring Arbor University in 2010. Yasmine has counseling experience in individual, family and group therapy for both private and nonprofit sectors. Additionally Yasmine has several years of experience in youth counseling. Outside of therapy Yasmine contributes her talent and expertise to various blogs and websites.

Brian Flight | Editor

Brian was born and raised in Los Angeles Ca, Brian has been advising and motivating people to reach their full potential for 10 plus years. A graduate of Howard University in 2005 with a BBA in Marketing he took his talents to the corporate world only to discover his passion for making money was not as strong as his calling to help people of color reach their full potential professionally and personally. In 2012 Brian completed his Masters in Student Development and Counseling extending his reach to working with both students and professionals of all ages. Brian currently works as a Career Development Specialist/ Instructor at Saint Louis University, and also as a Part-time Instructor for the East St. Louis Community College adult education program teaching basic reading and mathematics.

Amber Johnson-Weeks | Reporter

Amber Johnson-Weeks is a Michigan State University Alum. She was a reporter and co-anchor for the bi-weekly news show. Go Green! She hails from both the great city of Detroit, MI and the southwest suburb McKinney, TX. Amber loves to talk to people and conributes to Good Girl Radio shows with interviews from individuals from across the nation. She also helps manage the social media of several other sites. Amber loves to empower other people and tries to live by the quote “When you know better, you do better.”
